Rookie mistake - I know.. I'm hoping one of you Gurus can help me out.. I was working on the SC board (TNPA5335 SC) of a Panasonic TC-P50GT30, and the soldering iron slipped and I accidentally knocked 2 small resistors off the board.. I found one, but I can't find the other one. I would be grateful if some one can tell me the value of Resistors R588??? or just read off the numbers?

Re: Panasonic TC-P50GT30 - Resistor Value on SC board
Thank you so much tw2005. I couldn't find the service manual / schematic for that board. I was replacing the Transistors above that area and one was stubborn and I pushed it with the soldering iron a bit too much and knocked off these resistors.. Thank you againComment

Re: Panasonic TC-P50GT30 - Resistor Value on SC board
yeah, I'd avoid force;. Will end in tears when you start destroying tracks.
not sure what you're using but I get away with a 40W iron, medium chisel, I cut the legs and flow fresh solder onto the tab and let the heat soak. it'll start bubbling on the sides and when molten it'll come off quick.
If you got hot air that could assist in heating the area as the tabs soldered to the board act as heatsinks so patience. Once the board gets hot around that area the other two are generally easier.Last edited by tw2005; 10-15-2016, 07:29 PM.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic... -
by ugamazingWorking on a 2023 M3 A2992 unit with 820-02918 board, and it uses a new USB-C power architecture, with rectangular controllers. I do not have a perfect-matching board, so have been repairing this one the old-fashioned way (slowly).
I managed to blow-away a single resistor that I can't find and can't determine the value of. It connects to ground, so I went ahead and stuffed it with a 100K resistor in case it's a simple pull-up. But, I'm now having issues with that side of the board, and am curious if it's possibly related to this resistor! I have no schematics and no board view, so... -
by sam_sam_samI did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow
This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

by canadaboy25I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.
The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.
I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was... - Loading...
