17ips19-5 no backlight - vivax tv

Hi guys, i have a Vivax tv set with 17IPS19-5 PSU. There is picture visible on the LCD when i use flashlight, but no backlight.
Two leds on LED backlight strips were dead - shorted so i replaced them, but no luck with backlight. After replacing the leds i tested each of them and they all work. There are totaly 22 leds connected in series (2 strips X 11 leds).

Strange thing is, there is 26V on PL501 power connector, but the +26V is on black wire and not the red when measuret to the chasis ground

Shouldn't there be more, like 80 or 90 V since all the leds are in series?

Led driver Ic likely failed not turning the mosfet on for the boosted led voltage. Have you an image of the underside of the board ?

on 90% of these vestel PS-s + and - are reversed(+black and -red)
I think you can't measure voltage...it shuts down without load.

I am planning to fix it
tv wont turn on. It goes into standby(red light) when main power is switched on, but when i press the change channel button to turn the tv on itself and to bring it out of standby it flash several times(standby diode) and shows no picture and goes to standby. When I open it up i can hear buzzing from the power supply board inside when powered on. I suspect the fault to be somewhere on that main board. The board is vestel 17ips19-05 and main board 17mb82.Tv is Vox 32883 Visually trhere is nothing wrong with the board. I measured the voltage for the LED driver, between the chassis and red is about 2v and between chassis and black 22v.

not to forget, I changed two diodes on led panel

RCA RLDED 4331B: 43 inch LED TV: Backlight issue
                  by lmcancu
Hi I am having an issue with the LED backlight of this TV. I can see the picture with a flash light, so I determined it was a backlight issue.

Initially, after opening it I found 2 shorted and 1 open LED on 2 strips (total of 4). I removed the LEDs and shorted the pads together to verify if the backlight would work.

Testing it, I found the backlight turned on and I measured 54V when TV was in standby (off), and 100v when TV was turned on. The 4 strips each contain 9 LEDs, so 36 in all minus 3.

Instead of putting it back together I decided to replace...

ASUS ROG Strix G713QR - Keyboard, backlight and side LEDs don't work
                  by hollox123
Hello, I have an "ASUS ROG Strix G713QR" laptop, and for approx. 3 months I have the following problems:

                  1. Laptop keyboard doesn't work
                  2. The backlight on the laptop keyboard doesn't work
                  3. The x2 side LEDs (red) on the laptop don't work

The power button works, the touchpad works, and all the USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. ports work.

I already tried to reinstall all the drivers and reinstall Windows. So I don't know what to try anymore that is software-related.

But I am strongly aiming that it is somehow a BIOS-related problem,...

Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U - Replaced Backlight LEDs but now no image/display or garbled
                  by signal.quest
I have a Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U. The TV was given to me as an attempt to fix or throw out. I replaced the Backlight LEDs and now the screen lights up, but there is no image/display. If I play with the up/down buttons I can get the display to change from black to garbled. I can't get sound from HDMI but not sure of what input is selected. I have no remote control. When I connect a laptop to the HDMI ports it recognizes a Panasonic TV for display and sound output but I can't see or hear anything through the TV. This makes me think the mainboard is OK, but not sure if mainboard can...

About replacing individual LEDS on BL strips
                  by edugimeno
                  Hi There!
Having fixed 5-6 TV sets by replacing full LED strips, and having watched other people fix that by replacing just one LED in the strip, my question now is what should I consider before doing so.

At this time I have some old strips removed from TV's with all but one LED working. Are there different voltage/current LED on different strips? Are 99% of them just the same and interchangeable?

How do you find which specific model is needed for each strip? When I check if a LED is OK by attaching the multimeter leads to the individual led pads on the strips I...

Vizio M70-D3 4K with dark spots backlight issue
                  by Yanleb
I have a Vizio M70-D3 4K with a dark spots backlight issue. It is using the Y8387248A backlight driver board.

On this model each of the 64 transistor powers 2 LEDs. Using my TKDMR TD3H backlight tester I've determined that the backlight LED strips were the issue, and the backlight driver board was just fine. Some LED pairs required 5.9 volt at 155mA, some required 9.5 volt and some were completely open.

I've removed the LCD panel and once the LED strips were exposed I've tested them again by connecting my LED tester directly on the test pads. To my surprise all, I've...
