View Sonic n4060w (VS10846-1M) NO POWER

I picked this tv up the other day and just now got to it. I plug in the TV and there is no standby light and there is no response from the buttons. I immediately think of the power supply. After reading some things I check the fuse and then the voltages.

    Fuse is good

    V across big cap - 357-359v

    CNS1:
    Pin 1 - 0.3v
    Pin 2-12 - 0v

    CNS2:
    Pin 1-9 - 0V
    Pin 10 - 5v
    Pin 11 - 5v
    Pin 12 - 0v
    Pin 13 - 0.3v

I then recapped the entire secondary side. No change to the readings. Am I wrong thinking it is the power supply and maybe it is voltage regulators or something from the main board. Also this board does not have a connector on CNS3.

I have (I think) attached pics of the power supply.

Is there any indication of what the various pins are, ie is there any markings alongside the connectors.
It looks like you only have 5V standby voltage at the moment.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

          No indication for the connectors

Bud. I saw that thread. I will try some of those things. But mine does not have any indicator light when plugged in. Also that has a connection at CNS3. So i dont know if mine will be like that one or not.

When i measured the big cap it was with it plugged in and no buttons pushed. I will recheck to see if any of the values change when i hit the power button.

Did you look at the PDF of my post 15? It shows the pinout of CNS1~3.
Your reading of the CNS2 cannot not be right in post 1.
CNS1, CNS2 has the same pinout.
We need the DCV reading of CNS3.

I will have to check that out. I listed Pin 1 as the one on the left. Also I have nothing at CNS3.

EDIT - I am a little slow...I do not have a connection at CNS2. My readings above are for CNS3. Sorry

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Assuming...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
                  by PantherDave
                  Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                  Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74 power issue

                  Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                  by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
