Re: panasonic viera lcd tx55as802b
As you say the screen does flash for a second maybe a failed led? maybe the tv repair shop dosnt want to repair it hence saying its the panel. If i was you get the tv back home and take some good pictures of the boards in the set then we can try to offer help.Comment

Re: panasonic viera lcd tx55as802b
I agree with Reece.
I would not be surprised if they told you this:
"Tv can't be repaired because the panel failed , but we are willing to buy it from you for $50"
The panasonic tv is detecting a error. Provide some pictures and buy a cheap multimeter. You can use the paperclip option in advanced mode.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

Re: panasonic viera lcd tx55as802b
You need to lay the lcd side of the tv down on a tablecloth so you can easily remove the backcover.
With the backcover removed you need to take some clear pictures of the boards so we can see how they are connected.
When did the fault occur?I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

Re: panasonic viera lcd tx55as802b
Try this and see if it works:
LCD Panel Test Mode
Purpose:
To find the possible failure point where in LCD Panel or Printed Circuit Board when the abnormal picture is displayed.
How to Enter:
While pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button of the main unit, press [YELLOW] button of the remote control three times.
How to Exit:
Switch off the power with the [POWER] button on the main unit or the [POWER] button on the remote control.
How to confirm:
If the abnormal picture is displayed, go into LCD Panel test mode to display the several test patterns.
And then, judge by the following method.
Still abnormal picture is displayed: The cause must be in LCD Panel.
Normal picture is displayed: The cause must be in A board.
Remarks:
The test pattern is created by the circuit in LCD Panel.
In LCD Panel test mode, this test pattern is displayed unaffected by signal processing for RF or input signal.
If the normal picture is displayed, LCD Panel must be okay and the cause of failure must be in A board.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

Re: panasonic viera lcd tx55as802b
Sorry my bad. Mixed up the service manuals!
1 blink for this model is "BL SOS"
It doesnt cover the fault in the service manual but i guess it's "backlight on" problem. This will be the LEDS or a problem on the powersupply. My guess it's the LED that have failed.
There is no need to test the LCD test option because the tv wont turn on at all. Its only if you see a abnormal picture.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

by Natob82Great to be here! I'm a newbie here trying to find a "micro", momentary push switch to repair a Sony "clamshell" video walkman. This micro switch has long since discontinued by Sony, however I hope there are third-party switches of the same size and functionality that I might be able to source to play the same role. The purpose of this switch is to tell the video walkman that the user has activated the mechanical tape eject button, turning that physical action into an electronic signal that tells the tape transport mechanism to open so one can load or eject a video tape. I...

by grimacelordHello,
I've been working on a NEC TurboExpress and I accidentally got the plastic inside the power ON/OFF switch too hot while doing other repairs and melted it. At first, it would still power on when sliding the switch, but you had to really press inward while sliding to get it to work.
I removed the switch component and tried to gently melt the plastic back so it would work more reliably and all I managed to do was make it worse.
I need to find a replacement On/OFF switch for this, but having some trouble figuring out which kind of switch I need.... -
by SluggerBI have a very small float switch, I'm using in a very small tank. It only fits in one way. Link https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Switch.../dp/B07DZ1J2GB
I want the switch to be open when the water is high, and closed when the water is low. Unfortunately it works the opposite. And since this switch is designed to be underwater, it's all sealed up, there is no taking it apart or hacking it up.
It will be driving a water pump, basic idea, when the water is low, switch closes, which turns on water pump, when enough water is in the tank, float switch floats,... -
by PaftMy Panasonic Viera TX-P42S21B 42" 1080p HD Plasma developed a fault a few days ago.
It looks like it's going to come on, makes that click sound but then goes off. Doesn't turn on via remote.
So, obviously it's likely one or more of the components/boards. I don’t see any results for my model or a service manual anywhere, but I’ve briefly looked into it with similar models and apparently it is the SC and or SM board(s.)
How accurate are the fault blink codes? I don’t see any glaringly obvious damage on the SC/SM boards but the power supply has some markings.... - Loading...
