Panasonic tx42-p42x20E problem

Hi

First for to all for this forum. I have a plasma problema and i think The only solution is change mainboard.

I only find boards for panasonic tx42-p42x20 B but my modelo is E, from Europe.

Is ok for my tv?

Definitely A board. Looking at the service manual the B version will operate the tv and all the eeproms and flash chips have the same numbers suggesting they're the same. Try it and worst case you may have to transfer some of the eeprom chips over

What do you see? White sticker or it should be part of the pcb print otherwise take some decent pictures of the board we can zoom in on top and bottom

Right so if the link is to a folder and all the images are of your board then I can make out TNPH0829 and the white sticker has ME TXN/A1LWUE. So that should mean TNPH0829 Rev. ME or part # TXN/A1LWUE.

Search that and it comes up as used in TX-P42X20B, X20E ,

So you could search either of those numbers to find one. There must be an option to select your region maybe someone else will know that.

Unless you're an electronic specialist with equipment to replace BGA chips I don't like your chances.

If the Shopjimmy site is blocked you could try phone or email. They only have one of those boards.

Otherwise keep searching or go to ebay where you will find Shopjimmy has it listed anyway.

So on the barcode sticker does your part number match up with that of the B?

I thought it did unless the photos you have that link for are not of your board.

I don't understand how you don't see the number, they're your photos and I'm looking at them and I see the number and the same numbers on the "B" version.

I see a white sticker in your photo "ME TXN/A1LWUE." and I see the same sticker on the "B" version.

Anyway I could be wrong

This is your photo, but maybe you're right being cautious as the manuals don't seem to highlight region selection. I'm purely going on if the part numbers match it should work just changing the region or language is a bit unknown

Yes, are The same Numbers, but i think that tuner is different. Because otherwise Panasonic make model E and B?

I'm out of ideas for you then. If you swapped over ever eeprom and the 48pin flash IC from your board to the replacement it would turn into your old board.

Ii did this once using a new Zealand board for Australian , TV channels were different frequencies steps. It worked.

The tuner module is the same but the channels and frequency steps are determined by whatever data is on the eeprom.

It should work.
I had an G10E and motherboard died, then bought B (britain) mainboard and it's working, without any problems.

Indeed , it really does not matter. I also repair tv's with a british or german mainboard. Just install the board , factory settings , choose language. In europe it wont even ask for region , only if you use a british mainboard. ( It will ask england or ireland ).

Ps , in the Netherlands they only use HDMI for inputs. Nobody uses the cable anymore...

Indeed , it really does not matter. I also repair tv's with a british or german mainboard. Just install the board , factory settings , choose language. In europe it wont even ask for region , only if you use a british mainboard. ( It will ask england or ireland ).
