I have this toshiba 37 that after about 3 hours, the colors start to go weird.
Is it a t-con issue? It's an lcd.

What do you think ? Looks to me to be an Mb issue could be an intermittent regulator on the Tcon too only way to find out is diagnose it.

I'll take it apart tomorrow. I've used tom's xl spreadsheet to diagnose a t-con before but I don't even know what an intermittent regulator is.

I've watched the shopjimmy video on seeing if there is solarization on the osd menu or only in the pcture itself but nothing is mentioned about it running fine for 3 hours and then getting solarized.

On mymtv it isn't on the menu portion but just the picture. The osd is fine, which according to shopjimmy means a bad tcon.

This is my tcon, curtesy of shopjimmy. I've heard you guys talk about the AUO chip.

Use a heat gun/hair dryer in combo with freeze spray (can of air upside down).
The 3 hr mark probably is average for how long it takes your suspect to warm up and therefore act up.
Warm up suspect board, once found use freeze spray to pinpoint part, works like a charm.

New tcon fixed it but what a pain in the arse it is to get to. This tv was made in 2007.
I had to get through what seemed like 2 layers of bulletproof steel to get to it, lol.
What a stark contrast between it and the piece of crap Hitachi from 2014 that I didn't fix because of a bad panel.
