Samsung un55d6000sf – Bad display or t-Con board?

Hi, I'm wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to diagnose my Samsung un55d6000sf before I start throwing money at it. It has like a vertical scroll to it through any input and menus… it starts immediately when the Samsung logo comes up when powered on. No obvious signs on any of the boards as far as bad caps, burnt resistors, fuses etc…

Looks like a bad panel or tab bond issue to me.

I would disconnect one of the ribbon cables from the TCON to the LCD, then the other side.

It's generally a panel fault but you could try this quick fix.

If I unplug the right side of the T-Con the picture clears up on the other side. If I unplug the left, the picture remains scrambled on the opposing side.

Tried the tape trick and that was a no go.

So probably a bad display or tab bond issue?

For me, it's a equal chance between tcon and panel.
