I just acquired a 09 panasonic tc-p42s1. The screen is dark and the whites have a pink tone. I did not find this on a search of this forum. I have not removed the back of the tv yet. I did a reset of the unit. No its not the common cable box reset.

Re: Panasonic tc-p42s1 dark screen and pink tint.
I opened up the tv. Looks like someone smoked and blew directly into the fans. everything is coated. I am not the first person into this tv. I found the x-main basically disconnected. I cleaned some contacts and reset some connectors because of the nicotine inside the tv. The panel is now bright again but there are lines across the screen now like a connector not seated correctly. I will have to recheck some connections to see what is happening.Comment

Re: Panasonic tc-p42s1 dark screen and pink tint.
It does look heavily tarnished with nicotine so a good clean of the boards and connectors would probably be a good idea while you're at it.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Panasonic tc-p42s1 dark screen and pink tint.
Lines are often but not always as a result of connectors not being reseated correctly so hopefully that's all the problem is.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Again no images of the display fault but if horizontal lines commonly improperly seated sd su panel ribbons and the lines will match up with the offending ribbonComment

by jimjoe123I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.
Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.
Then each time... -
by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -

by AlicatHello,
Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.
Model number is TH-50PZ85U
Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.
Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.
I also hear a few clicks.
I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.
Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...10-30-2024, 10:09 AM -
by smic717394Hi,
I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on... - Loading...
