I need help identifying a part for replacement, the mainboard i have has a burned component, unidentifiable markings incidentally, i have found a pretty clear image of the component but cannot find any information about it, can someone identify this part? Its in location qa6.

Re: coby led4626
Looks like a mosfet to me for the panel-VCC used as a switch. Maybe a P channel Mosfet. Something like a AO3407. https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...b1f6ab665c.pdf Not that I am saying it is that exact replacement for it, as I can't read either what the picture is saying. But if push comes to shove, this is better than nothing.
I wonder if your panel is shorted?Last edited by CapLeaker; 08-26-2016, 07:26 PM. -
Re: coby led4626
QA6?
Do you have 12V at either end of the Inductor L60?
That device has to be able to handle at least 5A or more. You can look up the spec sheet of the LCD panel to find out what the inrush and the running current of the TCON is needed.
And as mention, you should check the fuse on the T-CON board and the resistance between GND and the output side of the fuse to see if there is shorted circuit there.Last edited by budm; 08-26-2016, 07:47 PM.Never stop learning

Check the resistance between the chassis GND and either end of the T-CON fuse, notes: it may have active shorts that will not show up until the circuit is turned on.Never stop learning

Re: coby led4626
The resistance is .1 ohms, when i test for a short with power off there is no short, when i test with power on it shows a short on both sides of the fuse. should i have everything hooked up when testing? The only thing not hooked up while testing is the panel, and the inverter board. I still havent identified the original burned part either.Comment

Don't test reisitance with power on. You'll damage your meter and possibly the circuits.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: coby led4626
Did i do sometging wrong here? I thought you wanted me to test the tcon board for short, specifcally with the power on.Comment

Re: coby led4626
I tested one side of the fuse at a time, and used one of the grounds on the board. I did not put my meter to both sides of the fuse and test restance while there was power. I use caution when working with live equipment or recently used electronics. If i did something incorrect, please point it out.Comment

by taurtntHi everyone,
I’m trying to identify a step-down regulator marked AMCH073. It’s used on the PEX power rail of a graphics card. I can’t find any datasheet or info online.
Here’s what I’ve observed:
• It has a QFN-16 footprint, similar to NB670.
• Pins 1, 2, 15, 16 are connected together and go to the inductor, so likely SW (switch node).
• Pin 9 is connected to GND, which doesn’t match NB670 (where pin 9 is SW).
• Pin 8 also seems to be tied to the same GND plane.
• The chip only says AMCH073, no manufacturer logo or other markings....1 Photo -
Hi all,
I’m working on a Dewalt DCR020 jobsite radio that won’t power on.
So far, I’ve checked the following:- The mains is reaching the transformer
- Transformer outputs ~15-20 V AC
- Bridge rectifier outputs ~15-20 V DC
- All fuses test OK
- The on/off button signal reaches the PCB connector
Despite this, the unit does not power up at all.
Inside, I’ve identified some of the ICs:- ST7317 (appears to be an LCD driver, not the main MCU)
- LM2937L (voltage regulator)Not putting out power, 0.5V on the input
- Markings like FS1235, unknown IC
- Board number:

by crosswindsHello,
So, pulled a motherboard out from storage, was working when put away, wont post when I took it out of storage today.
Since it was working, and it looks to be essentially time that killed it I figured its a good idea to replace the caps before digging further.
Looks to be only good quality caps on this board, so might not be the issue. But it is closing in on 20 years now so, wont hurt i guess
Its a ASUS P5VDZ-MX board.
I would really appreciate some assistance on what the best replacement caps would be for these:
