Hi everyone, I had the same Vizio TV E500i-B1 with the same problem when trying to power on the LED power light stays on for about 2-3 second and fades out with no picture or sounds. And i found the corporate like the "Member ozzy214" sad more likely a bed "eeprom" and that's on the main board. And i went to about 4 of the local shops around me in the City of Chicago where there is a lot of them and paid $5 dollars for just the EEprom off of an good working set and put it in my 50in Vizio TV E500i-B1 problem solve and TV works like new again. So if you don't know how to solder one in just buy an good Main Board from someone with an broken screen TV.... Best Of Luck !!!

Where is the EEPROM? Under the heatsink? Also, I would like to understand why the eeprom is defective, is it heat that causes it to fail? thanks!
