Ok i still odly get nothing across the components on the 12v pad, but the component on the 24V pad labeled 4E i get 4V when it first powers on and the leds are dimmed but when they go full on i get 6.8V across it. I was correct that each strip is Getting 48 volts, obviously that was common sense and simple math.

The part of the strip where i have the blown component, that part gets 21.5V on its connector and it appears that the 4E zeener is pulling voltage off that. to drop the voltage down for the last 7 diodes.

I will note that the second half of the strip with 9 Leds on it has 2 12V pads with components on it and 1 24V pad. Does it make sense that they are pulling voltage away from the diodes? Why though is 21.5V not correct for 7 LEDs?

Well, i got brave put it in, and the damn thing works with that blown zener and all.

Should I risk it?

Decided to remove the blown component and the one beside it on the led strip, assembled it. Its been working fine for almost 6 hours now.

You cannot tell where i replaced the LED, looks all perfect and evenly lit. Set the back-lights to 66% brightness for longevity. Also noticed the LED that blew was one of 4 that make no contact to the panel chassis to sync heat away from the led. so i put some gell thermal pad (the kind you find on the back of boards to cool chips) on the back of the 4 leds that didn't make contact with the chassis at the back of the strip.
