    Panasonic TC-P60GT30

    Tv just went black with flickering horizontal lines while watching it the other day. I unplugged it for a few hours, the picture came back for 10 seconds then was back to no sound or picture. The standby led works normally with no error code. Here's a video of the screen when turning it on: https://youtu.be/OqB1eHosGF4

    I've taken off the back and don't see any signs of damage to the caps or anything. A push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Take the back off and check the mounting screws on the sc and ss are tight. Bad earths may be causing an issue otherwise I'm thinking it may be a-board. The earth pads under the sc can also arc and burn so may be worth taking the board out and checking / clean these so there is good connection.

    I would do this first before turning this on again as the sc can blow up with bad earths

      Thanks for the response, it does sound likely that it could be a grounding issue because I did have a service person come out while the tv was under warranty and he replaced a couple boards, A few months after he did the repair I was getting a shadowy flickering, possibly not tightening them down completely, tho if I'd tap on the back of the cover the problem would go away.. . I ordered an ss, SC and sub power boards just in case since they were reasonable on eBay.

        Saw this on the ss board, sign or arcing ? The screws were definitely loose. Also noticed some kind of liquid near the blue caps, possibly a faulty cap?

          there's no liquid in those polyester caps and yes that black area you can see how the contact has etched away. I reflow those and then clean the chassis where you will also see black marks.

            When you are going to install the boards use lockwasher screws.
            I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

              I reflowed the solder and cleaned up the chassis contacts and still having the same issues. Is it possible that the panel has gone bad or is it definitely one of the boards?

                  So I replaced the SS board and after replacing it I got the 6 code blink thought that was interesting since it wasn't doing that before. I then went and replaced the SC board it then stopped giving the 6 code blink and went back to the black screen with flickering lines. So what's next an A board?
