Samsung Un55h800af no pic , curved tv

Tv has standby blue symbol, makes chime noises when turning up and down or selecting side to side on toggle button on back. It appears to be on but screen is black and no pic. Anybody messed with one like this yet.I haven't opened it yet.

Sounds like a led has gone bad. No picture on the screen if you use a flashlight?
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

Be very careful if you put it down.
If you see nothing with the flashlight,
you could check the t-con first with mute 369 mute.

Do the backlights come on and stay on if the cable between the power supply board and the main board is disconnected?

Found nothing on H8000, but on H6500 there is a note
that you could remove the cable, pretty sure you could even do it on 8000

It is easy enough to tell if the BL-ON pin of the power supply board has built-in pull-up resistor or not by checking the DCV on BL-ON Pin to see if it has steady >2.5Vdc when the running the board by itself.
