Toshiba 42HP66 red specks on the screen

I picked up this tv today. Going to give it to my nephew. It's viewable, he would use it to play wii or Xbox.

I've read somewhere that there is a way to maybe get rid of the specks or lessen them by adjusting something?

    I found this, http://www.fixya.com/support/t182276...ixles_in_black
But I trust this site more. It mentions adjusting setup or setdn on the ysus. Does that sound plausible?

      That didn't solve it.

Gueswork....but what are the solder joints like around the coils on the X and Y boards because they tend to crack over time.

I seem to recall that adjusting the voltages (but I cannot remember which) can reduce the speckles. Hopefully someone will be able to advise you further as to which one(s) to adjust.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

I tried adjusting both. To take the ysus off I'd have to remove the main board. These things at not user friendly. I've already put the back on. It has 50 screws.
It's good enough for my 10 year old nephew.
It's not that bad with a picture on. I also went into the service menu and turned the red drive down, making it less noticeable.

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
            by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
            by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...
