    RCA RLDED3930A standby only

Hey all. I have an RCA LED tv that will not power up. The standby LED stays red and doesnt do anything when the remote or power button is pressed. I get 60V coming out of the connector from the LED boards to the p/s, main board. Any ideas what to check. There is only 1 board in this tv/power supply/main board combo.

I tested the IR board to make sure the remote and power button boards were good and they tested normal.

Any suggestions. I HATE RCA for not providing service manuals.

Well I can say Epprom/spi flash Ic aka firmware issue here. Check Sj for epprom repair kits for this Tv.

Throw away the set with a good panel if you know what the fault is, you mad lol ? Why not invest in a epprom analyser to fix the orginal firmware or find a board ?

Not mad, just frustrated. My track record for RCA is terrible since finding parts for these sets are darn near impossible. How much is an EEPROM analyser?

board. I did find the power supply on eBay, but its for other brand TVs. Would these boards work or not?

take that board out and post a hi res, straight shot picture of the back of it. There is a connector to the far right of your picture. See if there is a pin out. Also measure the voltage of the main filter capacitor.

Some how the TV must get a signal back from the key pad in order to turn the TV on, so see if you can find it.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.

                      Good day,
My remote gate stopped working. The company said the main logic board needs replacement. After examining and running a couple of tests, I discovered what looks like a shorted zener diode. Tracing the path on the board it appears to be across a voltage regulator chip (78m05). After reviewing the datasheet for the voltage regulator I thought that it was being used with a zener diode as a voltage boost regulator. However, looking at the layout of the board the "shorted diode" is not connected as in the datasheet. The diode does not have a markings so I am not sure what...

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...

                      Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
                      by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board

                      Pin 04 "N/C"
                      Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
                      Pin 06 "GND": N/C
                      Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...
