Sony Bravia KDL42w705B 4K 8 red blinks
My mate sold me this tv and i cant figure out what board is causing this error code.
The TV comes with a Power Adapter similar to a laptop, when i first plug the TV in the power brick makes some high pitched noises, its not really loud but its noticeable, The TV wont display any error codes or standby light for 4-5 mins and as soon as it starts giving the 8 blinks the power brick stops making any noises. I have tried power cycling and resting it with the remote and power button but still no joy, When the TV first gets power i can see a red light coming from the optical out but when it starts giving the blinks the audio optical light goes out.
The main cpu/graphics chip gets warm to the touch until it goes into protect mode, i have checked all the SMD fuses on the inverter/power board and they all seem fine.
When i was power cycling my lip touched the corner of the aluminium bezel and i got a little zap.
I am thinking of ordering another main board but i'm not sure this is causing the problem.
