Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs

Hi, I am having issues with a panasonic tnpa5335 sc board and hoping for some advice. I ordered a repair kit from the UK as well as replacement components from China. I fitted the UK kit, and with no short across SC2 I powered it up. Board failed immediately and after investigation found Q401 (30f131) had a direct short. I replaced Q401 and board failed again. SD and SU boards test ok. Any ideas as to where to next?

Maybe but if they work I would not get too stressed. I'm just noting what I am seeing does not mean I'm right though, just a theory.

Compare an original to it and see how they compare

Thx TW2005 , good to know. I will check my big box of RJP30H2A , see if the corners are cut.

these are the RJP30H2 I've got and working well. Note the exposed copper on the cut corners. I find the original 30F131 also has this but the fakes are tinned and smooth.

I've compared these to the original ones I've pulled and they match up well including the ground feint ridge on either edge

I have more "bits" that I have ordered as well that were shit. I will post pics of them as well.

Like I said, try them or RJP30H2. I just look at the ratings and give them a go.

Why not try them and see or even try a RJP30H2.

By the way. I tried yet another chinese source on Ebay and same deal the 30F131 blew taking out the RJP30H2. Contacted seller who said they'd refund if I destroyed them with images. Also said strange no one else had issue but I say strange I use real parts and my repair is good.

Looking at these ones I thought they may be ok but the outside surface is scratched up to disguise them. Another thing I have noticed is with the metal tab on the cut corners the originals have an exposed portion of copper where all these bad ones are tinned.

The RJP30H2 I got seem original and had no issues there and the cut corners have exposed copper like the originals.

Good job! Could have been a soldering issue that blew the board? Saw some sc boards lately that came from a uk seller from eBay. Don't know the name but the soldering looks awful to be honest.

If you sell a reworked board , the board must look like "new" and not with IGBT's that are half soldered on the board or to much tin on the outside.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
    by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
    by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
    by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
    • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
    • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
