Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs
I have used fgd4536 on at least 30 SC and SN boards never a problem or a return.
I have also found a use for them on some Samsung plasma tvs, and they have never come back to me.
If you want to use expensive, hard to get, way to often fake igbt's, then use them.
How can the fgd's that can handle more voltage and amperage be sub-par?

Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs
After a bit of digging, it looks like the mosfet at Q600 (C08N25) should also be replaced since it can blow the 30F131's if it's bad.

Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs
Hi,
Hopefully this is the right thread for this. I am trying to fix a TPNA5351 (SC?) board. It appeared that this was the problem since there was a short a SC2 where it plugs into the power board.
I replaced 4 of the 30F131's all of which seemed to be shorted. Before plugging the board back in, I checked SC2 again. No short.
Plugged the TV in. Turned it on. 14 blinks. Unplugged. All 3 30F131's are now shorted again.
Does this sound like a power board problem or is there something else on the SC board I should be looking at? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs
TV still working...
I replaced also 30F131 4pcs...they were SC all 4 of them...
new parts were marked 1412...mounted in last 12 months also on multiple plasmas...
they were all measure 1-2Mohm on reverse polarity C-E(- to C and + to E) on 20deg C.
TV-s never come back...so I supose they work :-)
Better to pay attention to bake IGBT-s before soldering...I had many problems with particular components before baking...
I'd bake them on 70deg C 24 hours.
Anyway....I think it's time to move away from these 30F131....what do you suggest as a equvalent?? RJP30H2A???
any comments?

Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs
I am missing 1pc. DG302 for repair TNPA5349 and I just replaced it with RJP30H2A...same U and Ipk and bigger Ptot....
On RJP30H2A Ic is lower but Ptot is what kills this transistors(Ipk=250A for both).
on older PANA plasmas on this switching place is RJP30H2A...
...so far so good...it's working....:-)
Did someone try that??...any info please?
Will order DG302 but customer wants TV tonight...:-)
HNY to all............Kiko

Of all the ebay listings for BD8693s e best trade are the only ones that show correct markings, as to the others if you have tried them please tell us if they worked or not

I used them from e best trade also. They have the same "stamp" as the originals. Little dot in the left bottom corner. Do yours look the same as on the board?

Moreno83, which eBay supplier did you purchase ic 501 (bd8693) I have some from e best trade, but am cautious to use them.

Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs
When I say If the images in the listing dont match the original. I mean the printed part number, they do not look anything like the original in layout,so its a good bet they are not (if you cannot be asked to fake the printing right how good are the parts going to be). so stay clear of them

Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs
Unfortunately, the photos in the listings don't always represent what you receive. Sellers don't always update their photos to show what they actually have in stock. I'm sure most people here, at one time or another, will agree that they have received parts that have different markings or pre-bent leads that were different from the photos. Sure, you can file a claim, but I went ahead and use them anyway and fortunately the parts I've gotten have worked with no problems. It can be a real crap shoot when dealing with these overseas sellers.

Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs
The BD8693 on eBay/ Aliexpress or from any were else, if the images do not match with the originals, do not buy them, looking at all the ones listed on Ebay, only one shows the correct markings the rest did not. as for the transistor arrays only buy the ones showing the correct 3Y marking as we know the Y02 marking can also be found on a component that is completely wrong.

Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs
The ic 501 from chinese suppliers are ok. I ordered them from aliexpress and ebay and they are all ok. Same for the 5 legged transistor.
DAF30 shows short because the other parts are short. Remove the 6 bad fets and you will see its not short anymore.
Dont order any 30f131/rjp30h2a from china , they will blow up the board and if you try it to many times you will see the traces get dark.....

Tw2005, have you ever sourced ic's bd8693fvm? I have managed to source most components through Farnells and Rs but can only find chineses suppliers for these.

I will wait for the alternate parts to arrive. I have spent a lot of time reading various posts on here and am wondering whether I should replace the drivers (BD8693) and corresponding transistors (CPH5524). I looked at a schematic and it looks as though I would need to replace 3. The transistors can be bought through rs but I can't find a local supplier for the drivers, only Chinese suppliers. Do you know of a supplier and what's your opinion on replacing them. On a seperate post, a person had the same issue, all ok till he connected sc20 ribbon then bang. Replaced drivers and blown components and all good. I appreciate your feedbackAttached Files
