Element Elchw321 will not turn on

Have been working on this set off and on for about 2 months. After it came in stuck on standby I decided to immediately jump the power supply bypassing the mainboard. All voltages checked are spot on. However I noticed that the backlights would not turn on and if you were lucky you might get a sputter from one or more of the bulbs. Just to be sure I ordered more inverters from China as the originals were out of the 3 percent tolerance. Got the inverters and put them in finding 2 bad bulbs in the lower quadrant of the screen. I found this by using Bud's Cfl method. Have progressed to this point but cannot get the backlights to stay on even with all new cfl bulbs soldered to the inverters. Even tried to simulate the dim control with an AA battery to no avail. I will worry about the mainboard signals after I can get the backlights to stay on. Will definitely need some help on this. Thanks.

Re: Element Elchw321 will not turn on

Forgot to mention that SW voltage is still 3.0v when backlights shut off in about 3 seconds.

      There is a motherboard Gigabyte H610M S2H V2 (DDR5), I can't find boardview
Help to identify the element, marking on the element - C31PH. It stands next to the USB 3.0 and it looks like it is ESD Protect chip. We need a datasheet to this element. Maybe someone has already identified such an element. Help please.

Samsung UE48H6410 replaced Mainboard but backlights doesnt go on
      by max789
Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.

      I made the following tests:
      1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
      2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.

So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from...

The best way to drive a heating element?
      by EasyGoing1
I've got this circuit that I've been playing with on a breadboard. I'm not happy with it mainly because the MOSFET gets too hot and generally controlling the temp of the heating element with the Arduino has proven to be a little more cumbersome than I would like.

What I would like to know, is what is the best way to set up a circuit like this? The heating element is just a PCB and its going to be mounted under a 3D-printed enclosure that a lizard will use to warm his belly.

This is the general setup that I have now.

      This is what the...

Heater element wire type instead of a fuse when troubleshooting a short circuit DIY
      by sam_sam_sam
I was Ollie today which is a close out / surplus outlet store I do not go in there to often because you find things that you should not be tempted by but that is a another story

I saw a small space heater that used a wire type of heater element which I been looking for a while but not really hard mind you but when I saw this I grabbed it I going to go back tomorrow and buy the last one that is like the one I bought today because I need the heater element and the ceramic insulators and more of heat element wire because this one has two different wattage settings one 1300 watts ( tap...

      VIZIO M557-G0: Backlights or ???
      by bpcannan
      'Morning,
I get sound and picture when powering on the TV and its stays that EXCEPT that the left half of the screen will dim every few seconds then return to normal while the right side of the screen performs as designed.

Did the soft and hard reset options pulling the plug, using the reet option in the vizio menu to no avail.

I checked the mainboard - found some popped capacitors so replaced it - but that did not change the situation.

I checked the t-con board. It is getting good power. Then I removed one ribbon cable to see if I could isolate...
