    Samsung 60" LED Issue (UN60H6400AFXZA)

Hello everyone. I have a Samsung 60" LED TV Model #-UN60H6400AFXZA. Here is the issue: TV will cut on fine, standby led is fine. No image at all though and no backlights seen at all when TV is cut on. Sound works as well, I can hear when I toggle the menu options it is responding. I have attached some images so hope this helps as I have done no troubleshooting yet. I will test the main filter cap and get back as I need help testing the led output. Thanks for you help here!

I see www.shopjimmy.com sells the complete board kit for this here: http://www.shopjimmy.com/samsung-un6...-version-1.htm

You think its worth getting or we should rule out the LED strips first?

Do you get the baklights when you power up the power supply/LED driver board without the cable connected to the main board?

Yes sir. Backlights work once main board is disconnected. Main board issue?

Sounds like something is loading down the PSU enough to knock out the backlights. Try reconnecting the mainboard and retesting.
Don't buy those $10 PSU "specials". They fail, and they have taken whole computers with them.

Reconnected mainboard same issue as before. No backlights.

So seems like a main board is in order or is more testing needed with this?

That means the main board is not sending the BL-ON (BLU-ON) to turn on the backlights circuit.
Try disconnecting the T-CON board, heat and cool the main board to see if it has any affect.

Common issue is the Spi Flash Ic which contains the firmware corrupting and not turning the set on. If you can source a chip with the firmware on replace it if not replace the motherboard
