Panasonic TC-P46X3 - HDMI went out

Hi there, I have a TC-P46X3. It works fine, except that the HDMI Port 1 is not recognizing anything connected to it (tv says check signal...). I had the board professionally serviced and they ran the processor through reflow. That didn't help.

What components could have gone bad between the connector and the processor? (of course it could be the processor also maybe) I'm unable to find
    a schematic for that board.

Any help is appreciated. Main board is TNPH0911AY, and I did software update, and TV reset. Board doesn't seem to be available anywhere for purchase, so I'm doing component level troubleshooting. Thank you in advance!

Is it just hdmi1 or all hdmi? There a hdmi controller chip and they do get taken out by lightning easily. .
Pts electronics inc would be a good
    Place for a rebuild

Thanks, yes, only HDMI 1 is not working at all.. HDMI2 is touchy - sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.. do you know the part number or anything about the HDMI controller so I can test / replace? I'm ok with electronics.. but tracing the HDMI lines, they appear to all go to the Panasonic MN2WS0177 controller. and you are correct, these failed or started acting up after a storm took out my cable box

Yes on both counts.. I was sure it was BGA solder related issue.. I was wrong. The reflow went well so I don't think I caused damage, only money, right!
I did reset the TV to factory .. didn't do it wither.

I could be wrong as i don't have schematic in front of me. Never tried fault finding hdmi before. Maybe find a similar board from a different size x3 and convert it to your size

does appear the main chip is everything. If you were desparate there is a board onSJ that would work but you'd be going backwards. you'd lose the ethernet and USB ports.

You'd have to look up the specs of a TC-P4632C in case there's other features lost.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

Marantz SR4003 AVR HDMI board issue, seeking for help
                by aliougm
I have problem with my AVR(Marantz SR4003) HDMI board issue. I connect to my TV but screen color distorted, see attached picture.

                Connection as below:
                Set-top box HDMI output >AVR 3 HDMI input/one HDMI output>HDTV HDMI port
If I bypassed AVR then HDTV screen color be good.

I take out HDMI board from AVR and check services manual the schematic shown the HDMI signals path:
                3 HDMI input port > SIL9185 chip(HDMI switch) > SIL9033 chip(HDMI receiver) > SIL9030 chip(HDMI transmitter) > HDMI output port

                I replaced all...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
                by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
