    Panasonic TC-P50GT30 7 blinks

I am having a similar problem as others 7 blinks and no start although when I received the tv the fellow told me there was a horizontal line across the screen. When I started it up I never saw the line just the relays clicking and the 7 blinks.
Is it possible the board just finally failed to cause the blinking fault?

You can attack it a few ways. Simply check the 30f131 rjp30h2 rjp64g4 transistors for short in which case sc board. You then need to check sd su boards for short. Loose screws and burnt earth points no doubt

Thanks, can you be specific on a way to test the sd,su buffers? Which point of procedure? I am familiar with the use and function of a DVOM.
      Thanks

Remove all buffers from the tv
Short sc2 on the ysus board
Start up the TV ,if it comes on and stays on then the buffers are faulty
To check the buffers ,put your multi meter on low ohms ,with buzzer
Place one lead on the floating earth point and run the other lead on the buffer outputs both sides ,you should not get any circuits, any buzzer or low ohms = faulty buffer
          or measure as per picture

short sc2? You mean short sc50? Or am I getting my numbers mixed up? It's been a long day

I think he means short sc50. I've done that and powered with the buffers removed. Set will not power on at all then. So I'm thinking at this point it is the SC board. I'm thinking about trying the repair kit.

                Which transistors locations are shorted

I haven't checked yet. Tomorrow for me. it's 1 am here. One more thing though. if the sc board is starting to fail could it cause a horizontal line across the screen?

I'll check those transistors tomorrow and post results. Thanks

It's already failed if you did the sc50 bypass and it still 7 blinked.

Chances are the boards's loose and bad earths and that's why the display was probably funny. May have been saved if it the SC was tightened up.

There is a percentage that have the Su board fail.

You won't know until you do some checks.
