Panasonic TX-P42G10B led flashing 5 times No power up

Hi looking at this tv for a friend its not mine,
Panasonic TX-P42G10B
when power switched on relay clicks on power board, then front led flashes 5 times
not touched anything yet but searching google seems to point to 5v on A board missing if I am reading it right
will get some pics of boards as soon as i can after i get the back cover off

ok back cover off noticed when i press power button on, relay on power board clicks once then one of the transformers makes a buzzing sound for about 1 second, I think it coming from the transformer certainly in that area, then red led starts its 5 flash sequence

5 time blinking of LED related to power section, not the main board as your photo No1 , i think there are other boards near to power boards, so please post photo for the back assembly

just been reading on the net shop jimmy, they are linking 5 blinks to the sc board.
first check i did was to disconect cable from sc board to power board, I have a short across connector SC2 on the sc board

Ok then your S/C is shorted. Start checking the power fets and see if any are shorted.

Well its quite easy, just like how you tested the connector. See if any devices have a dead short across them.

SC board is TNPA4844 AD
still not sure how to check these fets, i assume you are reffering to the fets attached to the heatsinks, 25 in total
3 legs on each

You just start probing any 2 legs for sc. You will need to remove to confirm as you will find diodes short in parallel with the igbts.

Unless you intend to rebuild the board there is no point if you found sc2 short.

You need a sc . If you want to rebuild it will be an interesting challenge

ok will have a read of it tomorrow getting late now, however probing the legs of these fets nearly all of them seem to have shorts across them, may be easier just to change the board

It would be unless you have a good soldering station and the time to remove the fets to test them.
