    Panasonic TX-40AX630B flashing green standby

    Good evening guys

picked up this tv today the backlight flashes once when you first turn it on then nothing, the only voltages im getting of the PSU legend is 5 volts of one pin only

Does the flashing panasonic led fault error count work the same with LED tvs as it does with panasonic plasma tvs ?

    thanks

SRV-15.5 volts starts at 15.5 volts but slowly drops
SRV-5.1 volts reading is 5.1 volts stays steady
SRV-VLED starts at 50.8 volts but drops slowly
SRV-26 volts starts at 26 volts but drops quickly

That Led voltage seems low, have you tried disconnecting the Leds and retesting ?

Re: Panasonic TX-40AX630B flashing green standby

i faced same issue of TX series 10 time blinking then red led, and only 24 V dropped down and remain standby V steady, replaced exact new PWB and same result, i took it in parts all and found one LED strips the sockets of it complete disconnected from one strip and make S/C with chassis.

Re: Panasonic TX-40AX630B flashing green standby

Looking at the pictures, it looks like it has 5 strings of LEDs, they are controlled by 5 Transistors Q7802~7806.
What you can do is to put black meter on the chassis, leave the red probe on 'E' of Q7802 then turn on the TV and record the reading, then turn off the TV then move the Red probe to the 'C' of Q7802, turn the TV on and record the reading, do the same for Q7803~7806. If we have one or more open, short LEDs, or open connections in one or more of those 5 LED string the Voltage readings will help us verify.
BTW, the filter cap for the boost converter is only rated at 100uf 100V so 50V reading may be correct.

Panasonic TC-P60S30 - no standby voltage
                                          by BobbyMJ
                                          Hi All,
Wanting to learn some electronics repair skills.
I found a non working Panasonic TC-P60S30 and this is my first project / attempt.

So far I have found a blown cap on the main power supply board.
After replacing it there's still no standby power.

Poked around and found a resistor on the PSUB power supply board that measures open.

An online resistor calculator shows this is a 93k ohm resister.

                                          My questions:

                                          Is that correct, 93k ohms?
                                          Is it a fusible resistor?
Lastly, how do I know what wattage?...

Hello, Badcaps is my last resort. I am the first owner of the monitor. I reached almost every repair store in my area, but no one even wanted to hear about troubleshooting an old CRT monitor. At this point, I have been trying to figure it out by myself, but I have no idea where to start or look for.

I wish to know how to think and locate a failing component. I will put all my efforts to learn and contribute.

Hey guys, I'm repairing a Denon AVR X6400h for my brother. It quit powering on after a power outage. It acted like this last time there was an outage, but after letting it sit overnight it started working again for a few years. This time letting it sit did not bring it back.

                                          Hello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

Good afternoon! I have this TV with a Chinese combo plate. The symptom is that you turn it on and the standby LED goes on for a while, alternating red and green. In the end it remains green, but without image and without backlighting. I have measured voltages and they are fine, even the TCON has its correct reference voltages. I think it must be a firmware problem. What do you think?
