    Bricked TV menu LN-T4032H

I have a Samsung model LN-T4032H LCD TV that developed an issue then later was hit by lightning that I'm guessing entered through HDMI connector on the main board. It was dead.
I put it in a closet and bought another TV.
It sat for a couple of years. Since then I've retired and was looking for something to do. So I brought it out and opened her up.
The power supply had two swollen 1000ufd caps. There were about a half dozen of them so I replaced them all. Plugged it up and joy I now had a power light. I had to replace the batteries in the remote (one had leaked so I had to clean up the corrosion). Hit the remote and heard a click and the light flashed a few times and opened. No Joy.
It had to be the main board. Samsung wanted right at $200 for one. I looked on Ebay saw one and ordered it. 5 days later the seller cancelled the order. Found another and that seller too cancelled the order.
Looked on Amazon and found one. Ordered that one and installed it. Turned it on and went through the setup.
Great picture! No sound. No options available in the sound menu. Now I know why the board was so cheap. The sound menu has been bricked.
Do any of you know how to get the menu options back?
I can hit the sound button and the scale button will go left and right. The mute button will show the mute symbol on screen. Just no sound.
I've used the mute-1-8-2-power-reset procedure with no success.
    ??????
I'm hoping one of you have seen something like this and has a cure.

Tried two earphones that I know work.
Connector for speakers/earphone plugged in properly. Wiggled everything on connector.

        No joy.
All options on the sound menu are "grayed" out.
I'm thinking it is in some kind of silent mode for an outside sound system.

Still no sound options in the menu.

I'm going to borrow a sound system and see if I can get sound of the RCA connectors on the back.

I'll let you know later if there is sound there.

I have a picture of the sound menu selections but for some reason my computer all of a sudden won't recognize my phone.

Here is what I see in the sound menu.

                1. Mode : standard (greyed out)

                2. Equalizer > (greyed out)

                3. SRS Surroundsound XT (greyed out)

                4. Multitrack Options (This one is active but I only see a "Preferred Language" with selections of "English" "Spanish" and "French")

                5. Auto Volume (This one is also active with option of "Off" and "on".

                6. Internal Mute: off (greyed out)

                7. Sound Select: Main (greyed out)

                8. Reset (greyed out)

The "cursor" will only move to the two options not greyed out.
In the mean time I'll have to dig the camera out and charge it before I can take a picture.
                Hope this helps

I have been between the sound, setup and input menus a half dozen times and I can't find that option.

                    Re: Bricked TV Sound menu

Just found camera charging cord so photos may be tomorrow.
I just checked the sound menu on

input: AV2 Only one option available there and that's Auto Volume.

Tried HDMI-1 Same thing. Only one option and its the same as AV2.

At least with TV I have two choices.

                    Someone bricked it bad.

                    I'm looking for another Samsung p/n BN94-01294M

Do you think I ought to try the Russian dude's un-brick procedure?

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
                      by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

                      by LEECH666
                      Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

                      by Grasshopper2Ant
No backlight issue. Have sound and can see menu with flashlight.

Suspect LED driver, voltages are 100V each side. What should the voltages be for 75 inch TV on the Power Supply Board? I have 96 leds x3 volts per=288/2=144 volt per side?
Am I low on my volts causing the leds not to light up?

Before I got all backlights out, the right side was a bit darker than left side. How many leds
need to be out for all to not work?

Thinking of getting a led tester. If leds light up, would that confirm it is the Power Supply Board?

                      I do not want...

                      Hello to the forum.

My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.

To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.

So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...
