Re: Post The Led Backlights Your Fixing Here.

    Hi,
    just joined the forum.
My main TV Hitachi 32HXC01UB backlight failed on the 1st of May, just over 2 years old.
I found one LED open-circuit next to the connector on one of the two 11 LED strips.Reeceyburger123's tutorial on you tube was invaluable in disassembling LCD screen, diffusors and reflector. The double sided tape on the reflector was a pain to separate,Iused small plastic sheets to isolate the sticky tape.Just hope the smd FET and LED array chip on the Vestel 17IPS19-5 PSU have survived.

well done mate, when you have it running turn down backlight setting it helps the leds last a bit longer

Thanks for the tip Comptek, I wish the LED array was easier to get to though!
I am more used to fixing CRT sets to be honest.
I just hope the LED supply FET and the LED array chip on the PSU board are ok.I have ordered a LED strip off Ebay and am hoping to splice a segment off that into my faulty array.
Using my backup set an older samsung LE32R51BD albiet with it's own fault, have posted it on the forum, for hopefully some feedback.
                Cheers..

Thanks for the feedback on the vid Also normally the Psu wont ever be damaged by a bad Led as they have a protect circuit as well as the Leds are in series and are fed back through a feedback line not direct ground so chances of the Psu getting damaged is very low.

Also have you considered what I also suggested in the video by changing the Psu diodes and running the core update, as well as adding thermal paste to the tab bond driver ?

SEIKI - SE322FS had two dead LEDs. Fixed the LEDs, but busted the screen reassembling the thing, but it was a freebee. Large mounting pad is the CATHODE.

RCA - LED50B45RQ had two dead LEDs. Fixed the LEDs and successfully reassembled the set. Large mounting pad is the CATHODE.

VIZIO - E470i-A0 had two dead LEDs. These LEDs have a different polarity in their mounting (Large mounting pad is the ANODE), so I am waiting for some parts from AliExpress. This was also a freebee.

It's funny how a series strip can have two LEDs go out at the same time.

                                            Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

                                            Hi,

                                            First post...

I have this TV, which was working, then suddenly would not turn on. It would get the clicking relay then flash up the screen for less than a second, off for a second then on again. Removing the plug the relay continues to click on and off for a few cycles, which I don't think it did before.

Left it a few months, then finally got round to taking the back off, and it worked as it should. So I tested various bits and all was well. Then turned it on again, and back to the clicking relay.

I disconnected the main board from the power...

Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.

                                            I made the following tests:
                                            1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
                                            2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.

So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from...

                                            'Morning,
I get sound and picture when powering on the TV and its stays that EXCEPT that the left half of the screen will dim every few seconds then return to normal while the right side of the screen performs as designed.

Did the soft and hard reset options pulling the plug, using the reet option in the vizio menu to no avail.

I checked the mainboard - found some popped capacitors so replaced it - but that did not change the situation.

I checked the t-con board. It is getting good power. Then I removed one ribbon cable to see if I could isolate...

Hi everyone I have this TV which was dead one day when I tried to turn it on. I've had the cover off and there was just a pulsating/electrical clicking/ticking noise from the PSU. I disconnected the mainboard as sometimes this works to just fire it up with backlights on? That didn't help. Same noise. Then I disconnected the backlight cable from the PSU and the TV came alive. It appeared to respond to the remote and i'm pretty sure it's fully operational when there is no backlight connected.

However, I am in a dilemma.

I tested the backlight outputs with the lights disconnected...
