Channel scan for Samsung LN-T4665F (LNT4665F) comes up with no results

I have finished working on older 2007 Samsung LNT4665F. This TV has two coaxial ports one for cable one for air.

I am having hard time getting it to scan for local channels. It always completes the scan, but never finds anything. I have basic cable coming into the house that is provided by HOA, I do not pay for any extra packages, so I do not have have HD boxes, only coax cable from the wall. It works an all other TV's but this one. There are also several more options in the menu that I did not see before on other TVs.

Is this the main board fault, or I just don't know how to work it? Or maybe the TV is too old for digital cable scan?

    Thanks for input

So on the last picture you posted, Your manual will explain the difference. I think your cable is analog coming in? If that is the case then you will need to select the different options to find out which one you have. It could be IRC. If your Cable company is broadcasting in digital then you will have to try those different options. On the antenna options select cable and not both because if you have the wrong selection STD, HRC, IRC for the over the air antenna it may not proceed to the cable input if it finds nothing on over the air.

I ran into this with a 50" Vizio I fixed. Turned out that the TV did not have a built in digital tuner.
I had to hook up an external digital tuner to get any channels.

Scratch that, I just googled your model number and it has a built in digital tuner.

HRC & IRC are used by cable companies to off set the freq. of the channels to prevent interference , most cable companies use STD (standard) even if you scan using one of the others you should still get channels. If your cable company broadcasts a channel number 2 than its std. if it broadcasts a channel #1 it could be one of the others.
try connecting the cable to the ant input, change the menu to ant and try a scan.
If you get nothing its most likely the tuner at fault

Do you have old VCR that can put out Ch3/Ch4 to try feeding the TV to see if it even detects that signal?

of course, you checked continuity going from / thru the connectors (with an attached bare cable as the input) to the tuner board.

Good idea with the VCR, I have one. Yes I was able to get the signal on Ch3, so I guess the tuner is OK, at least mostly.

I am still unable to scan for channels. I have tried all combinations of settings and ports. Can this be corrupted firmware issue?

You did try both RF connectors just to see?

This seemed to be the key here. All my tests I was plugged into the cable port (not antennae/air) but all my scans I did air + cable scan. This time I did cable scan only with IRC selected for both analog and digital and I got channels.

Man, they made it complicated, thank you all for your help and input.
