Hi. Yes, these tv's are still alive. I bought mine in 2006 and it has been working great. We have had to replace the bulb but no other problems. Until a few weeks ago 
it started to get blurry and now it's like doubling. I looked it up and it looks like ghosting. But then the colors started going off to the left a little bit and we are wondering if it is convergence. We have the remote and are able to get into the service menu, but we aren't sure which values to change.
