    Panasonic TC-P50U2 SS board issue

My 2010 Panasonic TC-P50U2 stopped working a couple months ago, with the 8 blink error code which apparently indicates an SS/SS2 board issue. I'm a newb but figured I'd try to fix it myself rather than buy a replacement. My searches seemed to indicate that this SS board (TNPA5106AB) should be replaced as their are no "kits" available. I ordered a new board, which worked for a day before the same error appeared. I replaced the board again after getting a replacement, but it failed after 2 days! I've tried twice more to replace the board, but the last two haven't worked at all. I'm getting the boards from a reputable source, so it is hard to believe all 4 of the replacement boards are bad.

I did replace the SS-2 board as well the last time, just in case that was the issue, but the problem persists.

I have powered up the TV without the power supply line to the SS board and the TV works, albeit with a dim, red image.

Any thoughts on how a newb might troubleshoot this further, or should I just buy a new TV?

did you measure the voltage VA and VS? Are they the same as what is stated on the panel?
Pictures of the layout of the boards and close ups from boards would help too

I am entirely unfamiliar with VS or VA voltage... where should I measure it?

OK, I see VA and VS don't apply to this TV, as it appears they are labeled Vda and Vsus. Unfortunately, I don't see a label anywhere on the panel which indicates what the proper voltages should be. Any help on how I can determine what the proper voltages should be? Also, here are some more photos, as i didn't realize this forum prefers to host its own files.

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
              by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
              by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
              by Asraf Atb
              Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

              TCL 55RP620K power board issue
              by notallbad
Originally the tv arrived with dimmed backlights (not failed leds) but everything else worked ok. Adjusting backlight in menu did nothing but voltage changed on dimming control pins,
              0% p_dim at 1.65v and a_dim at 1v
              50% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 1.65v
              100% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 2.88v

Changed backlight leds anyway as always like to have complete peace of mind they wont fail shortly after selling the tv. No change as expected!

Leds are 2 rows of 15 6v leds.

On inspection of the power board found diode MBR3200 shorted so replaced with...
