LG 60PM6700 Plasma clicking

The tv doesn't turn on. The screen comes on for a second, then click and powers off. I have narrowed it down to the power supply but need to know how to force the power supply on. Here is a pic of the connector

Do you want others to help or just Tom ? Narr just kidding Can you get us an image of the entire board ? Normally the Vs output resistors tend to fail O/C.

LOL I deserved that. Here is the p/s. I did notice that when the tv first powers on, the VS voltage goes to 210V but VA goes no higher then 30V. I just want to verify by testing.

Have u tried test patterns to see if the main board is at fault ?

The Vs on and other voltages are listed on a small chart next to or near the connector blocks themselves.

I found the place to jumper. I jumpered across the two via above and same result, screen comes up for a second then click and shuts down again, so its definitely a power supply problem. Does anyone know how to force this power supply on outside of the tv.

I found a repair kit for this P/S on SJ for $25 with shipping.

Check the white ceramic 5w resistors on the pcb, usually cause problems with an LG and a rather cheap fix

Have you not read other posts about it ? Using a resistor to brige Pson and Vson to gnd which causes the Psu to think the Mb is pulling the signals low to come on.

Aye--But you are missing the point. He's set himself up doing repairs--and expects/wants everyone else to repair/diagnose for him, while not listing what tests etc he's done himself--If any!

There is no VS on for this power supply.

Alastair, I am not expecting other people to diagnose for me. I just like to get input from some people on here since there are a lot of smart people here. I have determined it is a VS issue. I installed all the parts from the SJ kit and still no go. I found a decent priced power supply on eBay that I am going to buy. Spent enough time on p/s.

RL-on is the start (relay).
