Samsung PN51d550C1F XSUS short VS line

Hey guys. I have a plasma tv that has a shorted XSUS board. I replaced the parts and now I want to install it in the TV to test it. Just in case I missed something, I want to connect two 70W bulbs in series with the VS line so I save blowing parts.

I just want to make sure I am connecting the bulbs properly. If I am wrong can someone please tell me.

I would install the live wire of bulb one into the VS line on the power supply, connect the neutral of bulb one to the live of the second bulb, then connect the neutral of the second bulb to the VS line on the XSUS board(the board I want to protect)

I also have the VS line cut going from the YSUS board to the XSUS board, but the VS line is still intact on the power supply to YSUS.


Here is a pic below of my bulbs wired in series. The wire from the bulb on the left goes into the VS line on the power supply, and the wire on the second bulb goes into the VS line on the XSUS board, thus completing a series circuit.

I powered up the tv and the voltage goes through the bulbs as I get 207 on the VS line on the XSUS board. Only thing I want to know is I thought the bulb was supposed to turn on bright for a second then drop back and just remain dimly lit. It doesnt light up at all even though voltage and current are going through it. I am using two 70W bulbs. Is 140W too much power.

So nobody knows???? Everything is connected now with the bulbs in series on the VS line. The led on the control board is flashing once per second as is normal. I still am not getting the lights to come on. They should come on bright at power up then settle down to a dim glow.

Reeceyburger or tom66, can you guys chime in on this? I now have a 65W and 60W bulb. Is this too much total wattage?
