This tv had a shorted X-SUS board. Replaced the board and the TV worked fine. I put the back on and then I turned on the tv. No picture. I took the cover off again. When I powered up the tv, there was a loud buzzing sound which seems to be coming from the Y-SUS. Is this something that can be repaired? What causes the buzzing. Is it possible it is a bad panel since the xsus was shorted out originally.

These use combined ERC (Ymain and Xmain recovery linked) so if the Xshorts it can damage the Y and the same time. Have you checked the Ymain for short circuits on the Fets ?Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. yup, checked the y-main for shorts before replacing the x-main and found no shorts.Comment
