Telefunken TS32D875L5, panel problem Sharp LK315T3LA31, lower third black

This TV clearly has a panel problem, but I wonder if it's worth replacing T-CON or not. I think not, because it has 3 gate drivers at the right, and darkened strip is exactly one third of screen height and it entirely belongs to the lower gate driver. I've touched around the flex bond and nothing improves.

I've reseated both FFC from T-CON to panel to no avail. Disconnecting one of them produces half-screen to black, and the lower third stripe doesn't change.

Bad panel, dont bother spending a penny on it. These integrate the horizontal drivers into the lcd glass which is very unreliable and they fail exactly like this.

its T-COn fault, you need to consider only on the cost. Panel fault never saw in such way.

I beg to differ ! Please look on the forum for "Lta320Ap06" you will find many other of these panels failed in similar ways. Tcon wont cause that type of failure !

Here is just a few before you start contradicting me, its not a tcon fault ! The integrated transistors inside the lcd gladd for the horizontal rows fail and any image below the failed one will be totally messed up like this.

I didn't say you were bad though just said before you say other wise. The display drivers get thrown off by the failed parts in the panel which is why the display starts going green etc.

Im not here to argue either just saying that this is 100% panel fault IMO I have seen alot of these Samsung panels fail in the same way and its not fixable.

Any way, there are no panel over all first and second and the last generation curve one, an short of it can effect on drivers, A Board or T-CONs however ovr all sets there fuse for panel VCC. vertical issue always panel. horizontal issue 90% drivers ( T-CON ).

i my wrong but i do wish this TV under my hand one day in this fault

Thats not true, look up for the Vizio 70" panel repair, failed tab bond driver was causing the Tcon to go mental. Trust me this is a panel fault. I would not suggest you buy a Tcon and waste money at all. Wait till aome other chime in like Tom and Bud.

These panels integrate the horri drivers into the glass in small address transistor packages you can actually see them inside the glass in small packages. They are in series so if one goes all below it will fail I have seen so many of these samsung panels fail in the same way. Its not fixable period.

Thats not true, look up for the Vizio 70

up 60 as well 70" panel are total different from 55 and below.

this is only 31.5

Yes but its the same lol failed Tab bond drivers no matter if they or horri or vert can cause the Tcon and the rest of the display to have an issue.

Ok, Im not being an ass just trying to stop someone from spending money on something unfixable. You wont know until you get one, I have serviced at least 20 Samsung Lcd panels same fault, not fixable.

Just to clarify, this panel is not a Samsung LTA320AP06, but a Sharp LK315T3LA31. Perhaps you meant that they share the same architecture?

I've added a pic of one of the three horizontal drivers bonded to the right side of the panel.

One thing I don’t understand is how T-CON communicates with lateral Gate drivers. There’s no cable from any of them to T-CON or top PCB. Gate drivers are just bond to the glass and that’s all.
