I am a little confused by this problem. I am presuming it is the main board but I can find no service manual on it so I am just guessing. All voltages are good and on the logic main there are two led's one stays solid the other blinks 3 short one long blink. The picture is the same on all inputs and even the menu. It is almost 3D in effect. Does anyone have any thoughts to what it might be.

Re: lg 50ps30 has blury/jumpy picture
Try shorting Auto-Gen pins 2-3 and disconnect LVDS, Then plug set in and fire up.
Is fault still present on the displayed test-patterns?
If so, fault is either Control-Board or Y-sus
--I'll bet its the y, aas I had one do much the same....Last edited by Alastair E; 02-27-2016, 03:39 PM.TELEFIX

The motherboards on these have alot of issues with Bga solder failure. I would say do what Ali said if all good, then heat mobo with hair drier see if it improves. Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Re: lg 50ps30 has blury/jumpy picture
I had two Y-SUS for these, One that missed every other 'line' of pixels, the other did this double-image jump.
I suspect one of the C451 buffer-chips, but didnt have any at the time, a third good Y cured the problem...
As Reecey says--Mains have their issues too--There's insufficient cooling for some of the bga chips which leads to the chips wearing out. RoHS lead-free crap strikes again.
BGA soldering it seems Isnt the full story--Its apparently the silicon to substrate interface of the chips that fails--reflow/ball is a temp cure, full cure is new chips....TELEFIX

Re: lg 50ps30 has blury/jumpy picture
BGA tend to show fault from cold--not while watching. like, Was working last night, but today it wont go!
I still think the Y TBH.....TELEFIX

Re: lg 50ps30 has blury/jumpy picture
I get to unplug the lvds cable but I am confused where the auto-gen plug is. I presume that one of the connectors to the main board needs to be unplugged and jumped but I still do not know which connector you are referring to.Comment

Re: lg 50ps30 has blury/jumpy picture
I am finally able to position the tv and do a proper test by jumping pins 1 and 2. I now get the test pattern and there are jumpy red lines on the bottom of the r g b picture and all of the other patterns are jumpy.Comment

by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by CyberPhoenixHello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,...
