    42PZ80E and 42PZ85E Powersupply

    Hey guys ,

I just bought a 42PZ80E that is completely dead. No blinks etc.
Powersupply is dead. IC on the back of the PSU is damaged and the fuses are blown. Replaced the fuse and its now giving me 10 blinks.

I got a 42PZ85E that i use as a spare/test tv. Both have the same panel.
The PZ85E has the powersupply with the known 1uf cap problem.

All P6/P7/P25 connections are the same so i thought , lets try this powersupply in the PZ80E and it works. I got a clear picture.

Is it save to use this powersupply if i use a little modifaction. Outputs like vs etc are the same for both panels.

    It would save me $60/70!

Is something mixed up here? 42PZ80E has powersupply : LSJB1260-1

that style of P-board is normally in the PX series HD models?

Yep , its a different board then ETX2MM702MF. But the ETX2MM702MF works perfectly in the 42PZ80E. Only modification is a longer wire for the mains.

Is the Tv definitely a PZ80E because I'm really confused now.

            LSEP1260BEHB (LSJB1260-1) is fitted to PX80E

ETX2MM702MF is fitted to PZ80,85 as far as I can tell

Some photos could be helpful but I see no issue if you can do it safely as I believe it should have tha PSU anyway and that other maybe under rated for a FHD TV.

Any chance someone has modified the TV before?

              Hi TE2005 , My bad , its indeed a PX80E!!

So the question is , can i use the PS from the PZ85E in the PX80E? It works , but it needs a modification. I need to turn the PS upside down for the cables to fit and solder a longer mains cable.

              Tv works perfectly.

I think if it fits properly, all the pinouts match and the volatgaes are set correctly to the panel then I would think it is ok . But I would not go the other way putting a HD unit into a FHD.

What's the power rating of the PX80 and the PZ85 on the sticker ?

Any reason why you'd sacrifice a FHD TV to get a HD going?

Personally I would not do this to sell though. Won't this mean that P11 will be connected to SC2 and vice versa? Sounds a bit messy.

The 42PZ80E has a damaged panel. ( Scratches in coating ).

Both stickers on both panels are the same so thats why i tested the psu in the other tv.
No they all match up fine. I will post pictures later.

Maybe its best to get a new ps for this tv and sell it.

                      by Biruslapio
Bought this TV used not working, panel flashed briefly on power up and it was blinking 8 times, a quick look on SS board revealed a common fault on the 3uF 250V capacitors, C201 to C205 (C1620X in the service manual), the solder joints were all cracked, C201 and C205 pins were darkened and some sparking had occurred on them, C201 was split open and clearly overheated in its last hours, replaced that one and resoldered the others, 8 blinks fixed.

Also the previous owner broke the antenna connector by taking the TV out of the wall mount forgetting to unplug it, I desoldered the tuner...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
                      by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

Optiplex 3050 micro 2 blinks followed by 3 blinks issue
                      by Taurus12
Does anyone have an idea of what might be the issue with my 3050 micro? I have tried replacing new cmos battery but still the same

I am not sure if its the powersupply that I'm using is the issue since its the original powersupply. its a laptop powersupply with the same specifications with the 3050 micro so i guess it should be fine.

i also tried replacing the bios but with no avail, everytime i try another bios it gives a different blinking lights

Any recommendation on what I have to do next? Thanks in advance

Powersupply has all the voltages - Monitor still no power
                      by Capacitorial
                      Hello guys,

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
                      On The TCON...

                      Sony A1e 5-blinks help

Hi I'm new to trying to repair TVs, but I saw a broken OLED offered for a reasonable price and thought I'd try my hand at it.

I found the service manual, which was critical to know where to probe.
                      https://www.manualslib.com/manual/20...1e-Series.html

With it I was able to determine that my DKA board was bad, when P_ON#1/2 gets enabled REG_12 on the DKA board collapses. I'm assuming one of the downstream regulators has a short, but I couldn't work out which rail/component and replaced the DKA board entirely.

                      Unfortunately the 5-blinks...
