    Re: Panasonic tc-p55gt30

There is a board that is partially behind the ss board.
I also took the back off. I couldn't wait.
There are 2 connectors not connected on a smaller psu?
I can figure where 1 goes but can't find a plug for the other.

It's the Ysus sc boards. Of course can't find one on eBay.

I kinda thought some one had been in there. Too bad that is the SC board that's missing and yes they are really hard to find. Your only hope is to keep checking sources and sometimes one pops up.

Is there a way to check the other components? If they are ok, maybe I can sell them.

Too bad that SC board is missing, literally about $20 in parts to fix. Done correctly with lock washer screws to replace the ones that affixed it before and caused the SC issue, you would have had a solid beautiful plasma that you will never want to part with.

If it was me i would put the tv into Deep storage (by which i mean where i didnt trip over it and the wife didn't nag me about it) and wait for the SC to show up.

I'd be checking the sd & su for shorts first. Seems strange the SC is missing, maybe it was still good and been sold separate? maybe they still have it? have you asked them?

They bought it as is. Seller told them it worked. How would I check the sd and su for shorts?

these are resistances I got off a set for a 50", use the gnd plate Vfg on the buffer boards.

Other way is to simply use continuity and again use the Vfg point on the buffers and slowly slide the other probe across all the pins at the ribbons.

I would do both because it's possible to have a faulty board and not have the outputs shorted which was in another thread recently. rare but it happened.

you don't need to know, you need to know how to find the pins and to read and use a multimeter.

connectors are Sd46, su41, the numbers are the pins, the rest who cares and the values are what we compare to

images, these are 50" buffers but for the purposes of identifying the pins etc, they'll do.

i can only check for continuity because without the sc board, there is no power getting to them.
I'm leaving for work. It will be later.

There's no time limit as it's night here and you can do continuity and resistances. we don't need power at all.

Point being if the buffers are stuffed it may be time to bail, if they're good then it's probably worth a SC board, just may take some time and patience to find a good buy.

Oh and if you do bail and those buffers are good I reckon you'll get more $50 back for those alone.

Version type generally relates to screen size, SJ should list the set it came from.

                                            Hello there,

Google led me again to badcaps when trying to troubleshoot a dying Plasma that is sitting at my uncle's roughly 550 km from where I am. It's an old G20 from 2010 or so, that isn't being actively used so you can consider the panel "not too sollicitated".

Symptoms: TV starts, works for 5-10 minutes, then screen turns black and safety kicks in and spits a 13-blink code with the red LED. Once this code kicks in, the TV will not display any image anymore. Unplug it for a few minutes, plug it again, it'll work then fail a few minutes later.
                                            ...

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

                                            Hey everyone!

I've gotten this TV for free, neither have it seen a TV repair man, neither have it been opened before.

This post describes my entire troubleshooting process of this TV.

When I turn it on using the ON/OFF switch at the side of the TV, the light rapidly flashes green, then it stays on, but it does not react to any of the remote buttons, side buttons, and doesn't play audio.

I've taken the unit apart, and I've started to check some voltages:

                                            • On the P11 connector, there is 15V DC only for a brief moment, then it goes

Hello everyone, here is the issue I am facing with my Panasonic Oled TX-65FZ800e.

When the TV has not be used for some hours, I power up the TV with a video input and the image is displayed perfectly for 30seconds and then the TV switch off with the red light blinking every 4 seconds for ever.
The service manual explanation: EVDD_SOS (EVDD 24V error) with check point (oled panel, P board, A board, T-CON)

I opened it and found a burned connector on PB-board on the 24V pins.
The 24V wires have change a bit of color due to the overheat and the corresponding...
