    Replacing CCFL lamp

Hello, is it ok to put smaller ccfl lamp on LCD.

I have Samsung P2250N with one bad CCFL, but i do not have 21.5" lamp and i have 19" CCFL (418mm) Can i replace this bad lamp with smaller one, will it work?

i know that picture will be a little darker on corner but i think i will not be that bad, what do you think?

Dont put 3 in place, a more reliable fix is to replace the, with Leds in smaller monitors. Look up on ebay CCFL to Led and find your screen size if not find a smashed 21.5" Lcd and take the lamps out of it.

              no polarity,
maybe all the tubes are worn - how dark was the ends of the tubes?
did the phosphor look speckled and slightly yellow, or ice-white and smooth?

Help on Samsung Syncmaster T220 dead ccfl lamp
                by mikey5791
                Hi,

This monitor previously is my main working monitor which i have been using for 8~9 years. Yesterday, when i switched on my pc from fresh to power on, the monitor is just black no display. I started dismantle to look inside the monitor power board but nothing looks suspicious or burnt. So i took my external ccfl inverter to try to power the monitor ccfl lamps which consisted of 2 lamps on upper part and 2 lamps on the lower part.

Found out the upper ccfl lamp which is supposed to connect to cn304 on the power board did not light up. Then i installed a used working...

Bench inspection lamp- replacing with LED
                by Cornboats
Decided to change broken flourescent ring with an led alternative bought off Ebay. It came without any details of required supply. The supplier
does not have this information, just that its been stored in warehouse for 10 years. I want as bright a light as possible but am concerned that at too high a voltage will burn out the led's.
There are 90 led's each with a small yellow spot in the centre of the inside of each led lens. Could these be mains tolerant led's. I've put 9-14v DC on the circuit and lamps glow but not to their full luminance. How much voltage can I apply without fear...

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
                by ttmi100x
                Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

                Upon closer inspection...

Epson 5040UB Projector No Lamp Strike Stuck in Startup - Blinking Status/Lamp Lights
                by vestaviascott
Hoping someone here can put me on the right track. I'm trying to troubleshoot/flowchart the "internal projector error" on my newly acquired Facebook Marketplace bought Epson 5040UB projector (3LED, not DLP). Owner said it needed new lamp, actually error code blink pattern indicates "Internal Projector Error, call Epson support". Unit is out of warranty as of 8/19

                Here's what happens:

                1) Power on
                2) Blue power indicator lights and the lens cover motor opens the lens cover, light fan noise heard
                3) Blue status light flashes for appx 4 minutes...

BenQ TH681 Originally overheating now wont fire the lamp - Colour wheel not starting
                by AJ847.63e
                Hi All.

Does anyone have any reference materials or something I can use to try troubleshooting a BenQ TH681? Google unfortunately has turned up zip. I did find a service manual for a W series BenQ but that is pretty much useless, it's more a glorified user manual. A list of voltages would be great as I suspect my mainboard is faulty, the colour wheel voltage is not dipping like it should.

The one I am troubleshooting now was originally overheating after a lamp replacement. It originally would take 2 minutes or so for it to shut off and blink the temp and lamp lights...
