    LG375000 tcon / signal board / panel fault ?

I have this set in the workshop, initial investigation showed set would start with back-light and, audio and otherwise working main-board but no picture, after a while I would get some vertical lines showing.

Sourced and replaced the Tcon controller as they were available for this model cheaply, I get a similar pattern of lines which are a mix of vertical and horizontal see pictures. This seems to change a little over time.

Was wondering if I have a bad panel, or bad video processes on the signal av board or if the replacement tcon itself was faulty.

Excuse the moire pattern from the phone camera

Did you try having ribbon cables between LCD panel and the TCON bd. connected one at a time to see what you'll get?

As requested pics of panel display,

left lvds cable connected I tend to get a display as below, there is some wondering with the vertical lines back and forth but tend to be left side of the panel disp. With right only lvds connected the back-lighting stays off, candling with a high intensity torch seems to suggest no image on the display panel right or left although cant be certain of this. I may have to force back-light on to verify.

Apologies to Budm, I think I misread your posting, any-ways the below pics are as requested with Tcon to panel display ribbon cables removed (R) (L) respectively

        Many thanks in advance

Those Horizontal lines cannot be caused by the bad T-CON, I would say you have bad panel.

So not likely to be anything else, I have sourced a signal main AV board but am not going to order if this is a panel failure, I was wondering what failure mode this would be as it was always my understanding that a failed tape carrier package or related electronics would only affect a region of the screen.

Sony KD-65A1 Repair – 4 Red Blinks Error
              by AK_777
              Hi everyone!
I have a Sony KD-65A1 TV with a fault – 4 red LED blinks. After disassembly and visual inspection, I found that the G76 power board and DKA board had been replaced. It is also possible that TCON was replaced, but I am not sure – there are a few marker marks that could be factory-made.

Based on assumptions, the previous service attempted to solve the issue by replacing potentially faulty components. I decided to investigate further, found a service manual, and figured out a way to power up the power supply unit autonomously and put the OLED panel and...

              Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

              Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

              Panasonic SA-MAX770PU SMPSU board fault....
              by Rictech
              Hello everyone. 😀

As per thread title, this unit has a serious SMPSU fault. It blows F1001, which is a 10A M205 in the phase from the mains input.
Very first thing I tried, was simply replacing the fuse, but the replacement ceramic fuse blew immediately.

Looking at the schematic for this PSU, I then removed what I thought was the next likely candidate: D1001 - the HV main bridge rectifier.
This isolated the fault(no longer blows the main fuse), but does not point me to the actual fault.
There are no devices that have exploded or otherwise show signs...
