I have all the insides to a 60pv250, including the Zsus that Nicks's Tvs just fixed.
I need a good panel. Lol. Any one need parts?

Also there are 2 panel types and 2 sets of X and Ysus boards for this panel, they are interchangeable too. Only thing I suggest is using the U/D buffers that are compatible to each Ysus.

So it will make your search easy for new boards for future folks looking to repair these 60" PV series panels.

My 2 60PV450's after repair have been up and running perfect. I like these panels, they are cheap but still have a really good picture!

Them Coils are a nightmare, they can kill the fets on the Ysus board (had it on a 42pj350) and on these it seems they can kill the fets on the Zsus. Crappy Lg engineering here though they should have added rivets to them Coils but no they chose not to

There are many other components that the coils can take out when over heated..Nick replaced a ton of things on my board.

Possibly, and it would at least get your board tested to know for sure if the issue is indeed coming from the Z-sus or somewhere else.

So do you think that one of these places that repairs the z sus board can fix this problem?

    Correct.

The panel sandwich is nearly a complete vacuum. There is a small amount of gas, Xenon and Argon plus others mixed in there--but at very low amounts--meaning the panel is near a vacuum. This is needed because extremely high voltages would be needed if they were at atmospheric pressures.

As the panel is made being a close sandwich with the cells closed off at the top by the screen front, its possible in some cases with certain panels to have a crack/leak of air Into the panel, which will cause a black patch that spreads out and gets worse with time.

This is rare though, When cracked normally the air gets all over pretty quick, leaving no picture, and a buzzing noise when turned on....

Atmospheric Pressure (Std Atmosphere Sea Level), 1013.2mb, Normal Panel Internal Pressure much less than 1mb.....

ok so if the Vacuum was lost there wouldn't be any picture at all correct

'Mal-Discharge' is any condition that causes the plasma gas to not completely fire properly usually insufficient excitation voltages across the panel or the timings of the square-waves or priming ramp/reset ramp applied from Y-SUS or the square-wave from X-SUS to the panel from each side not in correct sequence and time to each other--Timing and sequence are seldom the issue Loss of part or all the wave is usually the cause...

Mal Discharge really is a very broad description for a variety of cruddy image problems, from hardly noticeable--to no picture at all--with spots like you have...
Look st the bright side--You got Something on the screen, so the near vacuum of the panel is OK!

Causes are usually a failure of part or all of one or both the Sustain Boards, or loss/reduction of the voltages used in the generation of these waves/pulses/ramps....

The screen has no cracks or even scratches on it. Alastair what is mal-discharge?

    Haha--No!

He said--It LOOKS like a mirror with peeling coating--Not that it IS a mirror with peeling coating!

Looks like severe mal-discharge to me....

Let it run for 10 minutes then check the heatsink of Z-SUS for heat.
Probably they are cool and some failure in the Z-SUS makes the powerpart of the Z-SUS non operational.

Reflowed the Solder on the coils on both boards no change. The picture just looks odd it looks like a mirror that the coating on the back of it has flaked off. With the lights off you can see little spots of snow all over the screen and in and the bottom left Corner see that as shown in the picture you can see snow this about 4" x 3". When a y or z sus board fails can it cause this type of failure?
