Hi Everyone,
I recently acquired a Samsung PN50b550t2f (PN50b550t2fXZA). The previous owner informed me that the TV turns ON but it has a bad picture/video it has distorted lines. So I was able to confirm this when I got home and tested the TV. Like he said upon a first initial power introduced to the unit I heard a 2 clicks from the power supply 1 click ... (5 seconds interval) then a 2nd click. Then a Samsung chime then the Screen powered up all I could see is just a bunch of lines or distorted video (or should I cay like a sand?)
So, I opened the back of the TV.
Tested the Voltages with he TV turned ON: VS: 209 = 209, Va: 56 = 56, Vsc: -200, Ve:89 = 85 - So I adjusted it to specs 89.
With the power cord unplugged: I took a note the blinking / flashing light on the T-Con when the power is first introduced to the unit. The LED 2001 Blinks 2 solid green light then stops; Then the LED 2001 flashed a following 1 faint flash then 2 solid flash then stops and I can hear the power supply clicked.
When the TV is turned On. The standby light flashes about 5 times. On it's first red blink you'd hear the Samsung chime. On it's third blink the screen lights/powers up. But all I get is just a distorted video.
Unplugging Xmain or Ymain just gives me a blank screen. Same blinks and everything.
Bad MainBoard?
Bad Logic / tcon board?
Bad buffer boards?
Or worst Bad Panel?
I don't see any tiny crack on the panel. But I will re examine it again to make sure.
