    Samsung le40b750

    Hi All,

    My Samsung TV suffers from the flickering issue, which is curtailed if i decrease the backlight and brightness. Otherwise the screen turns black although it is switched on.

    I have noticed a few others who have complained about the same problem but I cannot find a definitive solution or diagnosis.

    I suppose the next part is to start testing, with a multimeter the separate electronic parts? Which is where i will need your help because i'm a complete novice

    Can anyone give any advice on how to fix this please?

    From the photos, i have three boards on the TV. I read on another post that we should check by unplugging the Main board. Which i believe to be the long ribbon connecting the two boards, located on opposite ends of the tv.

    Consequently, this made the tv flicker with a blank screen. I could see at the back of the tv, it was trying to 'fire up' the leds.

    What does this prove? Any suggestions please, much appreciated.

      So i have reconnected the cable, powered the tv back on. Turned on the backlight and everything seems fine?! Is there something wrong with the LEDs?

        I am assuming that the problem will rise it's head again because i have not used the tv for several months and i have a feeling that the cable disconnection has only momentarily fixed the issue. Can anyone give any advice please?

              This TV uses CCFL for backlights, not LED backlights.
              What is the PN of the owner supply/inverter combo board?
              BN44-xxxxx?

                Thanks Budm for your reply. I have been reading some of your treads to try to get a grasp on diagnosing this.

                The PN for the inverter is BN44-00284A, Model H40F2_9HS.

                The other board with the external connections is BN41 01167B

                  What do you suggest? Should I test the transformers? What about the CCFL tubes, can i somehow test to see if they work properly?

                    Post pictures of the boards. There were some sets where cutting a jumper fixed the problem.
