Re: Weird shadows on lcd screen KDL-32L4000
Had a 37" version of that tv come through the shop a couple weeks ago. Set came on but had a strange dark shadow starting from halfway up the left side and continued across to the bottom right corner of the screen, and another shadow across the bottom 1/3 of the screen, the two intersected. It turned out to be water damage and apparently absorbed between the layers of the screen. Disassembled and cleaned then put back together and it looked fine. Hope this might help somehow.Comment

by FreakyMexHello guys. I'm a complete noob in electronics. I'd like to repair my child Lunii's (a "story box"), basically an audio player that allows the childs to choose between several options the places, characters, objects of the story, and then play a story according to the choice of the child. There is a screen that display the selected option before each choice. The Lunii fell and the screen is now broken.
I'd like to repair it (probably just have to change the part, because the lunii still works perfectly fine) but I can't manage to identify the part/order it online. Do you have any...02-17-2025, 01:16 AM -
by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by reformattJust had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".
It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...07-31-2025, 08:37 PM -
by ahoonidHey everyone.
I have a 820-3787-06 board from a MBP A1398 which has a screen issue. The problem starts with a bit of noise just like old TVs when booting and when the OS is on, screen jumps are added to the little noise on the screen. The jumps are millisecond and go back to the original place.
Since there's a little crack in the corner of the screen, I thought it has to be the display. But to my surprise it wasn't since I tried it with a fully functioning screen.
The same issue isn't happening with an external display. I did a gpu/cpu stress test on external...02-07-2024, 05:56 AM -
by smic717394Hi,
I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on... - Loading...
