LG 55LS4500 T-con weird diode reading

Tv turns on, back-light is on, sound works, but no picture.
12 volt to T-con is good, fuse on T-con is good.
There are 2 large black surface mount diodes on this T-con, and they are giving me really weird readings. DMM set to diode, I get 0.456 volts or so one way, and then 0.96v the other way on lets call it diode 1. The other aka diode 2 on the left side does similar one way .46 and the other 1.06v.
LVDS we will say is north, both diodes are on west side of board. Diode facing north south is diode 1 and east west diode is diode 2. Both are located next to the square components with 220 written on them
When the tv is on diode 1 has 3.33 volts on one side and 0 the other, and diode 2 has 11.8 volts on both sides.

I have tried disconnecting the east ribbon turning the set on, and the west side of the tv has vertical lines and east side is just white. Opposite gives me all black screen.
pretty much all pins have 6.97v going to the panel.

    Any thoughts or tests?

Re: LG 55LS4500 T-con weird diode reading

My bet is the T-con is faulty ,i would not get too concerned about the diode readings ,if you test no power and they dont show a dead short i would assume that they are ok
The vertical lines you mention i guess that they are even white lines, if so the t-con board is faulty and your best bet is to replace

I replaced the T-con but no difference. I guess its just a bad panel.

Try one tcon ribbon connected at a time?
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

when diodes read weird, take them out for circuit or lift one leg and re measure them again.

Per original post, yes that's my go to test usually for panel tests.
Its ok I told my customer I was not 100% sure if it was a bad panel and or Tcon and that worst case scenario I just return the board and wouldn't charge him beyond shipping cost.
I placed the new board in the set and no difference. Its just a bummer to have to gut out/recycle these Tvs like this.
            Anyway thanks for the input.
Also off topic, but freakaftr8 I can not wait to get a 70" vizio in the shop again with a bad panel. I read that thread a few weeks back and my god I wish I knew about this sooner as I have unfortunately told customers there is nothing that can be done with these.

              PS5 HDMI port diode reading?
              by SuperAman
I did an hdmi port repair for a PS5 and I lost the small diode z71 SOD923 on the back of the port. I did a trace repair for pin 19 of the port as well. Without the diode I get no display at all. I tried replacing the diode twice but after I get flux on it the marking comes off so I can't tell if I have it on the right orientation. When I measure I get a reading of 1(open) and 923 in diode mode. Is 923 a normal reading for these and also which side should the reading be with regards to the arrow on the board?...

              A2681 Keyboard, trackpad and sleep?!
              by iMuhtaseb
Wow it's been a while since I posted!

This is a weird case, it has a history of liquid spill a year ago but customer did not want to replace neither trackpad or keyboard.. fast forward for today:

A2681 turns on but not trackpad or keyboard feedback (or external keyboard and mouse) and then after a minute or so the Mac sleeps..

It's a NOT a sleep sensor or trackpad or keyboard or daughterboard or anything else (I replaced all those); it's the logic board..

Tested another locked logic board on customer's top case and it posted with keyboard and...

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
              by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
              by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
              by Hakuu
              Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

              More Details

              TV Model - LG OLED77G1PUA

Got the same exact TCON board from TVPartsToday and replaced it. But didnt transfer the EPPROM data (didnt...
