sounds like you don't need the remote and was locked so I'd get a meter and resistance check across sn2 and ss11 for short cct. if you took those 3 white ribbons off it most likely would have turned on with no error code. avoid reconnecting those leads after a power cycle especially p35 for 5mins or so or check there is no residual voltage.

After plugging everything back in it does the same ole stuck in standby. As far as checking the sn and ss boards how would I go about doing that. And what should the resistance be?

Re: Panasonic tc-p50x3 won't turn on

at this stage you want to find what is shorted. so you need a multimeter to measure resistance which I expect will be a short or 0 ohms , something low but you'll know because it will be low.

At the S2n connector for example?

star there with the lead removed and measure across the 2 pins on the sn board sn2. you should also check the ss across ss11 just in case also isolating the cable and I would download the manual as that will give you pinouts

I also have a tc-p50x5 with a cracked screen. Wii remote got it. Will any parts interchange between the x3 and x5?

Doubt it unless someone here has experimented fitting them. usually cracked screens short out the boards anyway if they're on when they get hit so the SN or SC from the X5 maybe toast.

                    Remote woud work LOL.

Kind of off topic but I have a vizio that's giving me problems. It's a e321vl and it works perfectly until you go to shit it off and turn it back on shortly after. One time it shut itself off and wouldn't turn backing also

So I got the remote today and it has the same result as pushing the power button on the TV set. It can turn the standby light off and turn it on. Still makes the same relay click sounds but still no screen prime or anything. Is it possible the screen went and just won't turn on?!? About out of moves here haha

On the SC board, locate transistor Q661.
                            --Its on bottom heatsink.

Check to see if its short.--If so, there'll be a whole load more short on that board.....

How so? Most likely you have a shorted SN board but without getting a multimeter and checking for shorted Vsus lines on the SN and SS boards you're not going to progress.

Or , just purchase a SN and SS, replace both and it'll probably start working again

                                Hi all,

I've got a LG 50PK590 plasma TV which upon plugging in will click three times and the red LED in the corner will come on and stay on, the TV however doesn't come on (no humming, sound, video, etc.) and using the touch controls or the remote does nothing. On exceptionally odd occasions, the TV will come on and work normally when plugged in and will last about 5 minutes before going back to off and unresponsive.

I've got the back off of it and none of the caps stand out as visibly buggered, I've also tested the three resistors in the corner of the power board which...

Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited...

                                Hope you can help me

3 weeks ago my Panasonic suddenly blinked red in the power led. So I tried to turn it off and on with the remote, no luck. I then turned it off via the power outlet. After that I tried to turn it on again, but nothing happened. No lights and no picture or sound.
Now I have tried different solutions, taking the power for 1 hour - taking the power for one Day - changing power outlet - holding the buttons on the TV down for several seconds, and even minutes. And nothing seems to help, the only thing that happens is that there is a sound, like a relay...

                                Hi Badcaps,

I've had a friend discard a TH-65DX700Z Pansonic Viera Television and I've decided to have a go at repairing it. If possible could I please get some advice in terms of diagnosing the problem so I can purchase the appropriate parts for repair whether it be components, a repair kit or a replacement board. I am happy to post pictures if required.

                                TV Details:

                                Symptoms:

The television turns on and displays a picture then makes a clicking sound and turns off.

                                To all the members here...

Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.

So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But...
