Hi all,
Having an issue with a Samsung UE40C6620. Unit was purchased new in 2010. It's a 40" LED LCD model, UK spec.
A few months ago an intermittent fault appeared. The defect is hard to describe, but is shown in the attached images. When the fault appears, a quarter of the screen is discoloured with waves of blue pixels.
The issue affects all inputs. It is intermittent, so for extended periods over the last few months it has gone away and the image has been perfect.
It appears to be an issue with the blue channel in that section of the screen; when I pull up RGB test videos, there is no issue showing a full red or green screen.
Have opened up the back, and tried removing and cleaning the connectors on the LVDS (?) cable from the main board to the T-Con (I hope I'm using the right terminology!) to no avail.
I can see there are more ribbon connectors below the T-Con, but these are taped down and difficult to reach.
Any thoughts on what might be the problem here?
Hi res images of the issue and electrical boards attached.
Thanks in advance.
