Ok. so I have this Element that keeps surprising me and it's doing new tricks now.I had the same problem as MDR had in their post here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ght=element+tv
Long story short..I had the blue light and same symptoms as the poster,got a new pc board and it worked again just fine.However,fast forward one week with it of and surprise ! The blue light pictureless special
but this time instead of being quiet about it my T.V. decided to turn impersonator and started make special effect sounds ....It sounded like a Jet warming up on the deck of a carrier!before I pop it back open,I have to ask if it's still worth itfor me to fix this or just let her go?I've seen the T.V.work 3 times since I first had seen it hanging on the wall of the house I got it out of(eveicted friends girlfriends douche ex hubby ((that's a mouthfull)))First time I poered it up at that house no problems. I watched Monday night Football on it while I cleaned the mess up. came back 3 days later to do some more work and watch /listen to Thursday Night Football while I did.
That was the first time that is what I can only call "the seafoam green blue screen of death."
It's a color of blah that I don't think really has a distinct color just an energized nothingness.And a blue light
I take it home To see if it's something simple and got it to actually change colors ( albeit blah blue or gross green)it also had dancing lines with occasional guest background appearances from the host signal.That was the second time I saw T.V. work,with each time better picture.The first time I watched it ,it was kinda pale. The images dancing with the lines onscreen were in my opinion better quality then the the first time I saw it at that house. I got introduced to this site from my sister, that just loves you guys,
when I was troubleshooting it.I tried replacing a cap,didn't work,ordered new pc board got it installed,and i t worked GREAT! Best picture yet!
I got busy and it wasn't for another 2 weeks til I turned it on again.Back to a blue light and an energized blackish bluescreen only this time I could swear that it's preparing for take off from a carrier.It sounds like a jet engine winding the engines up.
so is it getting ready to take off or is it melting on the runway?is it worth repairing or is it sounding like I have to replace all of it's organ's?
