Repair of BN96-16622A LED board?

I have a couple of LEDs on this board that have been damaged. I would replace the entire board, but I can't find anyone that sells it. My question is, can I replace the two bad LEDs with resistors to complete the circuit, and if so how do I determine which resistors I need to go with?

Use diodes to simulate LEDs.

I read through your thread, but I'm not sure I have enough room to pull off a fix like that on mine. It's side-lit and the space between LEDs is like an 1/8'' at the most.

You can use a zener diode in reverse.

Possibly a 6.2v

The voltage across a resistor would vary greatly at different brightness settings whereas the voltage across an LED would be relatively insensitive to changes in current.

Someone here post the Video to youtube showing 6.2V Zener diode (6.2V because there are two LED in series inside one package of the LED), you will need to find out if your LED are single or dual type.
