BN44-00222A board with burnt inrush current limiters

    Hello!
I decided to open a "new" thread with old issue.
BN44-00222A board with burnt RTE 801 and 802 and poorly soldered
RLYE 801 and 802. The board was burnt so much that it lost traces.
My question is where to put new RTE 801 and 802 and use some JPs perhaps with insulation on them and connect to existing board traces.
Also, first I have to solder relays properly to a board. Before drilling new holes maybe it is worth to simulate use of new RTE 801 and 802 away from a board and see if the whole set would work. I attach some pictures to let you see the damage done by high temperature.
Thanks for a suggestions how to fix it and what/where parts to buy .

ps I noticed that pictures open faster in new tab and are bigger

ps2 I found a website with tons of schematics - perhaps it will be useful for you http://www.electronica-pt.com/esquema/

Re: BN44-00222A board with burnt inrush current limiters

I have had the clicking on and off problem for months and at this point it takes around 3 hours for the tv to turn on. It's a Samsung PN50A530S2FXZC. There are no bad caps on the power supply or elsewhere that I can spot. Is there anything else that might be within the range of a DIY repair. I am presently leaving the tv on 24/7 which is hard on the electricity budget. Any suggestions of anything simple that I could do that might work would be much appreciated.

I think you would have success finding the problem by heating or cooling areas of power board to find problem
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried using a hair dryer though the top and bottom vents while the clicking is happening but that made no difference. Do you mean to try to start the tv with the back removed and then when the clicking starts point the hair dryer at different parts of the power supply? I have had the hair dryer within a few inches of the top edge of the power supply though the top air holes, but that made no difference. Occcasionally it ssemed to help to reset the cable box especially after already allowing the clicking to go on for an hour or more xo that the tv was almost ready to start.

To do any good you will have to take back off

Smd cap on back of mainboard. C102 i think. Type your model number in the search box and look for cycling issues. You will find out how to repair it.it.

This is what my power supply looks like. Will show more later. I attempted to upload an 8gb file.

I tested it for the second time and the clicking stops in around 3-4 minutes with heat applied to the main board (input board). Do you think that it would be possible to narrow it down to a single component on the main board or are there 2 or 3 components that fail and give the power recycling error most commonly. Problem is I don't have a proper heat gun and have never de-soldered or soldered those components with multiple leads such as included in the main board repair kits. Please comment. Is is possible to fix the problem with just a simple soldering iron?

If this is your board budm referenced. Then your problem most likely is C102 on back of board and is easily replaced. The ic in the shopjimmy kit in my opinion is not necessary. By using freeze spray on it tv should power on. At least it did on my troubleshooting of this board.

What type of component is C102?

Capacitor. You will need to expand board in link and it is circled

Everyone keeps saying to simply replace C102 on the back of the main board.
I have BN44-00222a and can't find anything on the front or back that says C102. There's also no visible damage that we can find.
Anyone maybe have a picture with it circled or something?

                                  Thanks

Well the BN44-00222A is POWER SUPPLY board NOT the main board.
So what is your main board and what is the problem you are having with the TV?
The problem with this thread that causing the confusion is due to Post #2 which has nothing to do with the power supply board BN44-0022A.
