Horizontal lines Sony KDL-40BX450
I'm a newbie with LDC TV issues, so hoping someone can help.
I've checked out the troubleshooting guides but still not sure if my TV's panel is faulty or its the T-CON board.
Tried to take pic but camera creates swirling or curved lines in the pics!
So to describe the issue: the lines are horizontal, thin, static, and across the full width of the screen; are not or are less visible if the picture is very light (near-white); appear mostly in the top half of the screen; their colour varies depending on the image,but are most often purple.
Currently they are slightly annoying, but my perception is that they have increased in number and moved further down the screen in the last few months.
Some "internet experts" suggest this can be fixed by replacing T-CON board but ShopJimmy warns that horizontal lines are almost never caused by T-CON faults .... this newbie is
