Sony KDL-40BX420 Is this bad tab bond issue?

Picked this up cheaply mainly for parts but can anyone confirm the worst? No apparent damage etc on the psu or mainboard...

Well that's an interesting one the blue shifted upwards kinda like an old CRT projection tv with convergence issues. I'm not sure here but I would suspect tcon board.

I have one with the pix all blue and some red. But this set has no Tcon board. Could be main but might be panel.

Looks like a panel issue to me. It would appear there's a strip at the top (1/4" or so) that looks normal. Is that the case?

So did you try re-seating the cables on the T-CON board? Try flexing the screen to see if the symptom changes.
